In Mallorca you can do more things than cycling. If your family and friends are going to accompany you on your next cycling holiday, there are many plans that you can do in the northern area of Mallorca. In this post you will find the best plans in the area!

Mallorca is more than cycling and beach, there are thousands of plans to enjoy with family and friends. In this post we recommend a list of the best plans for your companions on your cycling holidays or for you to enjoy in your free time in the north of Mallorca.

In the north of Mallorca we offer top quality hotels from Pollença to Can Picafort prepared to receive families, couples... with the best facilities for cyclists. Below we will suggest some of the best activities in the area:

  • Have a homemade ice cream at Ca'n Butxaca, Pollença. Since 1929 the same family has run this ice cream shop that makes ice cream by hand in the same facilities with locally sourced ingredients. They offer ice cream, popsicle, granita, bubble waffle... of all kinds of flavours. You won't regret it! You can also take advantage of the opportunity to visit the town of Pollença and wander around its streets.
  • If you like markets, you can't miss the Alcudia market on Tuesdays and Sundays and the Pollença market on Sundays. Both markets have a very good reputation and you can buy all kinds of local produce.
  • A walk through the Albufera Natural Park. In the Playa de Muro area, you can access the park on foot or by bike via the Puente de los Ingleses. This is the largest wetland area in Mallorca, with more than 1,700 hectares, and is separated from the sea by a string of dunes. It is a unique protected natural area, where a perfectly preserved ecosystem offers you the chance to observe and discover numerous species of birds while you walk along its paths.
  • Go on an excursion to the Talaia de Alcudia. From the Ermita de la Victoria there is a path to the Talaia de Alcudia, a 6km hike with spectacular views of the bays of Alcudia and Pollença. On the way back, we also recommend you take a dip at the beach of s’Illot, on the same path to the hermitage.
  • Have dinner at an exclusive restaurant in the area such as Fusión 19. It is a renowned restaurant in Playa de Muro that boasts a Michelin Star.
  • Eat paella on the beach front at the Milano Beach restaurant or at Can Gavella. You can enjoy an excellent paella with unbeatable views, we also recommend you have a nice cold sangria!
  • Visit the Formentor Lighthouse. If you are a cyclist you will probably already know the Formentor Lighthouse, an incredible place to visit both on a bike and with family and friends. Depending on the time of year, you can get there by bus or car, but it will definitely be worth the trip.

These activities and many more can be enjoyed with family and friends in the north of Mallorca. What are you waiting for? Book with us and enjoy a cycling holiday on the island!
